Meet Dr. Magen Henry

Milwaukee born, Atlanta raised, with a dash of Tampa flavor, my path wasn’t always clear. From broadcast journalism to biology, I’ve walked an unexpected road that ultimately led me to chiropractic care. I started at Florida A&M University, where I switched from journalism to biology just before senior year. A recruiter from Life University talked about chiropractic in a way that felt aligned with how I view life—our bodies are powerful, wise, and capable of incredible things when given the chance.

After graduating second in my class with a degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology, I dove straight into chiropractic school at Life University, where I graduated with honors in 2018. And I’ll tell you, chiropractic was new for me—I hadn’t even been adjusted before my first class. What hooked me was the philosophy: our bodies are smart, and they heal best when everything is working as it should. Now, I get to help others experience this for themselves.

I’m active in the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA), where I’ve served on the executive board as Secretary and Communications Chair. I’m also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Georgia Chiropractic Association and hold a certification in Webster’s Technique to support pregnant women.

In 2024, I was named ABCA Chiropractor of the Year—a true honor! Now, I’m back in school, finishing a master’s degree in chiropractic pediatrics (wrapping up in August 2025). It’s a path that’ll likely make me the only Black woman in the world currently with this degree, and I’m excited to bring these skills to my practice. Our kids and families deserve specialized care, and I’m here to provide it.

As a chiropractor, I want to empower my community by bringing precise adjustments, nutritional guidance, and health alternatives that resonate with us. It’s about making sure we all have the tools to thrive and helping us all take control of our health. Healthy parents mean healthy kids, who grow into healthy adults, breaking cycles and creating legacies of wellness.

“Look well to the spine for the cause of disease.” — Hippocrates

Outside of chiropractic, you can catch me at poetry nights, vibing to live music, dancing to funky beats, and hunting down the best hidden gems for a delicious bite. On weekends, you’ll find me brunching with friends, at a street festival, or just soaking up the city’s energy.

I’m here to inspire, uplift, and challenge the norms. If you’ve ever thought about becoming a chiropractor or just want to understand how this care can serve you, come see me. Let’s create a healthier, happier community, one adjustment at a time.
